Due to some unfortunate events I ended up with a broken pam library on a VM I am running. Everything else worked just fine .. except that login of course (so a bit of an issue if you need to do stuff like update letsencrypt certificates quickly cuz you forgot and are on holiday...
So I had the problem that for some reason I couldn'T send emails anymore ..
So to avoid having to add (more) pinhole NAT or similar I was looking into adding a responce-policy zone to UCS. Looking around for a while I did not find a way to do this with the admin interfaces or ucr.
So I was thinking of replacing my iptables stuff with nftables .. so what better chance to use than a new server in a seperate network segment - hardware wise, and a different subnet.
So i wanted to know what hosts in my network are up and what are their mac addresses.
